Hospitality Sales & Marketing + Co-op

    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

    This program has been reviewed and approved by The Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training BC, Canada

    This certificate program focuses on preparing you to work in the hospitality and tourism industries. This program will give you a solid theoretical and practical foundation in the application of current industry tools, procedures and practices, including basic industry accounting, managing food and beverage services, and front office and house keeping operations.

    OVERVIEW

    Program Length*

    • Total 36 weeks – 720 Hours ** (including the Coop work experience)

    Coop Work Experience (included)

    • Total 18 weeks – 360 hours

    Full Time

      • Instructional 20 hours a week

    ** Program length does not include any academic break or holiday break

    Delivery Method

    • Blended Delivery: the program delivery is a combination of on-site and distance delivery.

    Credential**

    • Hospitality Sales and Marketing Certificate

    Admission Requirements

    • High school graduate or equivalent or
    • Mature student status ( British Columbia 19 years old and plus)
    • Meet the College’s English Proficiency requirements by any one of the following options:
      • IELTS: 5.5 (or better) or
      • TOEFL (paper): 520 (or better) or
      • TOEFL (CBT): 190 (or etter) or
      • TOEFL (IBT): 70 (or better) or
      • Cambridge: FCE (or better) or
      • Intermediate (or better) Certificate from a Language Canada-accredited school
      • Pearson English Placement Test at the Intermediate level
      • Pass the College’s English Language Proficiency exam
      • Has earned a high school graduation diploma from a Canadian high school or earned a diploma from secondary school (or above) in a system in which English is the official language

    *Program Length does not include breaks and holiday breaks
    **Program Graduates who have successfully completed AHLEI exams will be eligible to receive an AHLEI “Hospitality Sales and Marketing” certificate
